Wales
Holyhead is located on the far west of the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, and since the time of Elizabeth I, the road running from London to Holyhead has been a vital strategic route, linking England, Wales and the sea route to Ireland. From its proud Celtic roots to its indelible connection to the British Monarchy, Wales is a land rich in art, folklore, and regal pageantry. Menai Suspension Bridge Opened in 1826, this was the first large iron suspension bridge in the country, rising 100 feet above the water. Belfast Capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast was a big industrial city in the 19th century, famous for its linens and shipyards—a city of great pride that was transformed by the Industrial Revolution.
